Scrapper Type Self-Cleaning Filters represent a cutting-edge solution in the field of industrial filtration, offering a highly efficient and automated method for removing impurities from various liquid streams. Keeping up with the new technology and innovation Acme Fluid Systems has developed the scrapper mechanism self-cleaning filter. The scrapper mechanism self-cleaning filter is constructed of filter housing, Wedge wire filter element, Scrapper Systems, PLC Control system, Automatic Drain valve, Differential Pressure Transmitters and Geared Motor. In the process of filtration the dirty liquid enters through the inlet connection of the filter housing and flows inside out of the wedge wire element of desired micron.

MAKE AN INQUIRY

During filtration the impurities are trapped on the surface of the filter element and the clear filtered exits from the outlet connection. The PLC control system constantly monitors the differential pressure across the inlet and outlet by means of pressure transmitters. Once the differential pressure reaches the preset limit the self-cleaning cycle is initiated. The geared motor drives the scrapper which leads to the cleaning of the suspended impurities from the surface of the element. During the cleaning cycle the flow of the filtered liquid is not interrupted. The foreign particles are collected at the bottom of the filter, which is connected to an automatic drain valve. During cleaning cycle the drain valve opens up and impurities are drained out. Drain valve can also be set with the timer depending on the requirements of the customer. This low maintenance filtration system is used for filtration with online cleaning of filter elements without any exposure to operators.             


Wedge Wire Elements :

Wedge wire is a welded steel structure, mainly used for filtration, separation and retention media. it consists of surface profiles, usually V-shaped, that are resistance welded onto support profiles. The distance between the surface profiles is controlled very accurately, as it forms the slot through which the filtrate flows. In case of V-shaped surface profiles conical slots are created (as shown on figure).
